BPAL sniffing notes 25 - Sleipnir, Mason and Jenkin's Port Jelly, Helena

Sleipnir - At Yule, Odin leads a divine hunting party through the heavens. On Yule Eve, children would fill their boots with sugar, carrots, and straw and place them by the chimneys for Odin's eight-legged horse, Sleipnir, to eat. To repay the children's kindness, Odin would refill the children's boots with sweets or small gifts.

Confections spun of hazelnuts, honey, elderberries, and bilberries with a dusting of hay and a bit of carrot.

Erk. I smell nothing but hazelnut and sugar. Not for me. Color - hazelnut brown

****
Mason and Jenkin's Port Jelly - Red and sticky! From a genuine Old Salem recipe!

Eeep. Red Bull. Exactly like Red Bull. Color - artificial red

****
Helena - I'll follow thee and make a heaven of hell,
To die upon the hand I love so well.

Rose amber, calla lily, night-blooming jasmine, water lily, and white rose.

In the vial, rose and amber. Not so sure I want to try this one.... Colorwise, pinkish amber.

Wet on my skin, lily and rose. I can see this one being an epic fail very shortly.

10-15 minute dry-down - No. Just... No. Too much rose, too much lily. Had to try, though.
