from Aburana to Zucchini

Another goal I've kinda set is to try new foods, if I can find them. Starting with A, we're going to try a new fruit/veggie/grain a week. How well this will work, we will see. The hubby can be kinda picky, but the little monster will eat just about anything you put in front of her. This list will include things I know I like and don't like as well as new stuff, because I'm not sure what the monster likes yet.

So, to start the list:

A: amaranth, asian pears, avocado, artichoke, asparagus
B: butter beans
C: cress, celeriac
D: dragonfruit
E: eggplant, edamame
F: fig, fava bean, fiddlehead fern
G: grapefruit, guava
H: honeydew
I: ?
J: jicama
K: kiwi, kumquat, kohlrabi
L: lingenberry, lychee, lentils, lotus root, leeks
M: mango, mushrooms
N: nectarine, new potatoes
O: olive, okra
P: pumpkin, passionfruit, pomegranate, pomelo, papaya
Q: quince
R: rhubarb, radish, rutabega
S: satsuma, squash, starfruit, sunchoke
T: turnips, taro
U: ugli fruit
V: vidalia onion
X: ?
Y: yams
Z: zucchini

  1. OH! There's an Asian grocery RIGHT next to Taste of Asia. They have a TON of dried, frozen and canned stuff, as well as snacks and even kitchen utensils. Also, LIVE CRABS.

    UDON starts with U :>

X FOODS (these were a stretch...)
    xiphias (swordfish)
    xiphosuran (horseshoe crab)

The only things I can think of that start with I are Iceberg Lettuce (lame) and Indian food (does that count?)
